The 2006 Annual Meeting has concluded
following two days of lectures and scientific presentations expertly
organised by Drs Bartlett, Rowland Hill, Salvage and Maliakal
from Hull Royal Infirmary.

James Bull Lecture, given by Dr Ivan Moseley (pictured right).

Invited
lectures by Prof G Bydder, Prof R Weller and Prof
I Szikora, in addition to numerous papers and
presentations by Society members.

The
award of the inaugural President’s medal to Dr Andy Molyneux,
in recognition of his outstanding contribution to interventional neuroradiology practice in the UK and
worldwide.
Dr Jagrit Shah received the Burrows Prize, for his
presentation “Diffusion
weighted imaging in Alzheimer’s disease: comparison with volumetric
measurements”

The
Presidency of the Society was assumed during the Meeting by Dr Juliet Britton,
who spoke at the Annual Dinner, held in the magnificent surroundings of the
Guildhall in Hull.
Delegates to the meeting had also enjoyed the reception and dinner on the
Friday evening at “The Deep”, the world’s deepest aquarium on the shore of
the Humber in the centre of Hull.
